The Academy of Carrara celebrates 250 years and organizes a rich program of events with leading scholars

The Carrara Academy of Fine Arts celebrates its 250th anniversary with a series of meetings with leading artists and scholars, 'Tales of Art.

It was 1769 when Duchess Maria Teresa Cybo signed the founding act of theAcademy of Fine Arts in Carrara: since then, the Carrara Academy has hosted many great artists, some of whom rose to world fame, and others who have sealed their names in art history. The Academy is therefore 250 years old, and to best celebrate the birthday the institute is organizing the cycle I racconti dell’arte, a series of meetings with artists and leading scholars of art history and contemporary art. All meetings will take place at the Academy’s headquarters (Palazzo Cybo Malaspina in Carrara), in the recently restoredMarble Hall. Below is the full schedule of events.
