The second edition of Voghera Fotografia runs from Sept. 14 to Oct. 6

The second edition of Voghera Fotografia, a national meeting dedicated to art photography, organized and promoted by Spazio 53 - Visual Imaging in collaboration with Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Voghera, La Provincia Pavese and photoSHOWall, sponsored by Provincia di Pavia, Fondazione Cariplo, ASM, FIAF and UNICEF, will take place for four weekends from Saturday, September 14 to Sunday, October 6, 2019 inside the halls of the Castello Visconteo and will be entitled Tra luoghi e persone - Transiti.

Directed by Arnaldo Calanca with the scientific committee composed of Renzo Basora, Luca Cortese, Gianni Maffi and Pio Tarantini, the 2019 edition of Voghera Fotografia aims to be a place for discussion and reflection on visual communication and is presented as a widespread event on the territory that will involve the entire city with a very rich program of initiatives:

Five photographic projects involving more than 20 Italian and foreign photographers including Olivo Barbieri, Harry De Zitter and Sara Munari, more than 200 photos on display, an exhibition by the Cultural Association Cacciatori d’Ombra on the Appian Way, a group exhibition on contemporary “Transits,” a window on “The Jazz Giants” with six photographic projects and four meetings on jazz, The first “Camera Obscura” permanent exhibition in Italy, a tribute to Leonardo da Vinci in collaboration with FAI Giovani Oltrepò and one to the 180th anniversary of Photography, two photography competitions with an exhibition for the youngest, an exhibition composed of the works of the FIAF member photography circles in the Province of Pavia, courses and workshops, meetings and video projections, portfolio readings, and guided tours.

Finally, guided tours to some local companies such as Cifarelli, Balma and Capoduri, Squadra Rialzo FF SS, as well as the opportunity to visit museums and enter inside the city’s historic buildings specially opened to the public complete the offer.
