Circles, on display 800 roundels by the greatest contemporary artists

As part of National Antiques, eight hundred rounds will be on display at Villa Castelbarco from October 19 to 27, 2019, to tell the story of contemporary art

From October 19 to 27, 2019, as part of the XXXIII edition of Antiquariato Nazionale at Villa Castelbarco, in Vaprio d’Adda (Milan), the exhibition dedicated to Duilio Zanni’s special art collection, Circles - 800 tondi d’arte, will be held.

The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the cultural association NOIBRERA, will present to the public the collection consisting of about 800 tondi and brought together in a little more than twenty years by photographer Duilio Zanni; hand-painted tondi twenty centimeters in diameter that intend to tell the story of contemporary art.

It all began in 1995, when Zanni in the company of his painter friend Lino Marzulli noticed in a Brera store some small round canvases. He bought one and asked his artist friend to paint it. And so he did with artist friends in exchange for a photo shoot.Over the years Zanni has involved many artists, including leading figures in the national art scene, such as Baj, Rotella, Isgrò, Bonalumi, Dorazio, and Nitsch.

The exhibition is traveling and the collection continues to expand.
