Humanly possible: photo exhibition in Milan on human bonds that give value

Through Oct. 16, the Boschi Di Stefano House Museum in Milan is hosting 'Humanly Possible,' a photography exhibition in which 15 authors rediscover the human bonds that have and give value.

Until Oct. 16 in Milan, it is possible to visit Umanamente possibile, the second exhibition with which Fondazione 3M - ETS is taking part in Milano Photofestival 2022, the renowned annual art photography festival, which invites us to reflect on the importance of the photographic lens to observe the world, and ourselves, with different eyes. The exhibition brings together photos by more than 15 authors, with the intention of investigating the value of interpersonal relationships and the lifestyles that determine them. The exhibition is held at the Boschi Di Stefano House Museum in Milan.

The group show, curated by photography critic Roberto Mutti, joins two other exhibitions that Fondazione 3M - ETS presented as part of the Milan photography festival, Becoming Famous and America for Us.

Humanly Possible aims to rediscover the human ties that have and give value. The shots depict a vision of the world in which free communication, inclusion, sharing diversity, the need for confrontation and caring for oneself and others are not reduced to mere words, but are concrete and real attitudes that allow anyone to be the protagonist of contemporary changes. The shots address these themes in a dimension that investigates the symbolic, pays attention to details, plays on the metaphorical and alludes rather than affirms.

The exhibition is the result of the synergy of several artists, who have created a visual path capable of opening unexpected perspectives and, while immortalizing different subjects, manage to ensure a sense of harmony. The authors of the shots include Tatiana Mazzola, Annalaura Catellan, Stefania Mazzara, Laila Pozzo, Federico Patrocinio, Elio Luxardo, Costantine Manos, Ferruccio Leiss, Graziano Perotti, Lucrezia Roda, Silvia Amodio, Stefania Ricci, Anna Maria Tulli, Desirée Sacchiero, Marco Moggio, Anna Laviosa, Raoul Iacometti, Giuliana Traverso and Luca De Bono.

The works on display belong to the archives of Fondazione 3M - ETS, a permanent cultural institution of research and education and the owner of a historic photographic archive of 110 thousand images, which is constantly being enriched and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The 3M Foundation has recently acquired the status of ETS (Entity of the Third Sector) attributed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies to those entities established for the non-profit pursuit of civic, solidaristic and socially useful purposes that have demonstrated that they have the characteristics to be registered in the Single National Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS).
