Palazzo Strozzi hosts the largest exhibition dedicated to Olafur Eliasson ever held in Italy

From September 22, 2022 to January 22, 2023, the Fondazione Palazzo Strozziin Florence will host Olafur Eliasson. In Your Time, presenting itself as the largest exhibition ever held in Italy dedicated to Olafur Eliasson (Copenhagen, 1967), among the most original and visionary contemporary artists. Renowned for immersive installations that place the visitor at the center, the artist invites the public to reflect on the idea of shared and relational experience of reality.

Curated by Arturo Galansino, General Director of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, the exhibition is the result of Olafur Eliasson’s direct work on the spaces of Palazzo Strozzi. The artist works on all the Renaissance spaces, from the courtyard to the Piano Nobile to the Strozzina, creating an exhibition path between new installations and historical works that use elements such as color,water and light to create an interaction with our senses and the Renaissance space. The architectural, historical and symbolic context of the palace is thus rethought by enhancing the role of the public as an integral part of the works.

The exhibition is conceived by Olafur Eliasson and promoted and organized by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and Studio Olafur Eliasson. Main Supporter: Fondazione CR Firenze.
