Kicking off today at the exhibition on seduction in Greek and Magna Graecia culture at Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza.

At the Vicenza branch of Gallerie d’Italia, in Palazzo Leoni Montanari, the exhibition"Seduction. Love, Beauty, Desire in Greek and Magna Graecia Culture," which will end on January 13, 2019.

The exhibition, part of the exhibition Il Tempo dell’Antico (The Time of Antiquity), presents forty artifacts from Intesa SanPaolo ’s collection with a single common thread: seduction.

The latter, in classical civilization, bewitched and deceived minds and was considered the prerogative of women who induced love through the beauty of their bodies and clothes, perfume, and persuasive and deceptive words.

In addition to Attic and Magna Graecia ceramics, precious objects from the National Archaeological Museum in Naples and the Archaeological Museum in Reggio Calabria are on display.
Visitors can therefore admire scenes of beauty and sensuality painted on statues, vases, mirrors, containers, makeup and jewelry.
