Between Jan. 29 and Feb. 4, 2026, Italian and international cities become the focus of a busy auction calendar, with events dedicated to design, modern and contemporary art, oriental art, and the antiques sector.

The art and collectibles market never stands still, and the week between late January and early February 2026 promises to be particularly lively.

It kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 29, with a Pandolfini-signed offering in Florence, which opens the week with the Spotlight Design live auction, a now landmark event for lovers of fine furniture. Also on Jan. 29, Wannenes launches two important web-only sessions that will remain open for several days: the first dedicated to Antique and 19th Century Paintings (until Feb. 10) and the second entirely focused on Jewelry (until Feb. 9). In Florence, Galleria Pananti Casa d’Aste will instead conclude its auction of Graphics and Editions. Colasanti Casa d’Aste Roma is also present until January 30 with its auction of Jewelry and Watches Web Only.

Moving on to the first days of February, Pandolfini is offering its Modern and Contemporary Art online auction in Florence until Feb. 3. On the same day, Finarte in Milan is present with the thematic event Valentine’s Day Special: Jewels & Fashion, flanked in Turin by Auction 277 Oriental Art proposed by Sant’Agostino. On January 29 in London, Phillips ends its Contemporary Editions: Online Auction, while on the same day Bonhams concludes several bids for fine wine collections The Oasis Collection: No Reserve - Fine Wines and The Oasis Collection: French Fine Wines in Hong Kong, as well as the Swedish auction of Islamic Works of Art and Oriental Carpets and the American auction of Americana: Art & Objects.

Also through Jan. 29, Tajan in Paris focuses onOriental Art while on the same day the Eclectique online sale opens. Jan. 29 is also the turn of Christie’s, which opens the motor season with the Rétromobile Paris Auction, a must-see event for classic car lovers. On the same day in Vienna, Dorotheum offers the online auction Design and continues on Jan. 30 with the online auction of Asian Art. On Jan. 31, Sotheby’s offers Origins II in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a live auction that brings Saudi modern art and international masterpieces into dialogue. Also closing by Jan. 31 is Sotheby’s January Collection opportunity at Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions, dedicated to exclusive real estate. Through Feb. 2 in New York, collectors can compete for the most iconic game jerseys in NBA Auctions Weekly: International Series, offered by Sotheby’s. On February 3, meanwhile, in Hong Kong Christie’s presents The Historic Cellar of Jürgen Schwarz: Five Decades of Collecting Part II. On the same day for those seeking historical artifacts, Christie’s closes its Antiquities auction, a fascinating journey through past civilizations. Wednesday, Feb. 4, represents the culmination of the international week. Christie’s still dominates the scene in New York and Paris with three highlights: the Old Masters, Part II devoted to Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, and the Mathilde and Friends in Paris online auction.
