Banksy's is the Valentine's Day mural that has appeared in Bristol

A new Banksy mural has appeared in Bristol for Valentine's Day: a little girl exploding a bouquet of red roses with a slingshot.

Famed street artist Banksy confirmed the authorship of his mural that appeared on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, on a wall in Bristol’s Marsh Lane and immediately became a sensation.

The new work appeared just the day before Valentine’s Day and depicts a little girl hitting a bouquet of red roses by means of a slingshot; the struck bouquet then explodes as a bloodstain.

Images of the mural were posted on Banksy’s official website and Instagram profile , but without accompanying them with any word or description: in this simple way the artist made it known to everyone that he was indeed the author of the work. Among various interpretations, it was also speculated that the red spot is actually a broken heart or perhaps Cupid killed by the little girl’s slingshot throw.
