An amphora from the Greco-Roman era discovered by the Coast Guard at a depth of about forty meters near Capoliveri.

Recovered by the Coast Guard on the seabed ofElba Island is anamphora from the Greco-Roman era about one meter in height and forty centimeters in diameter.
The amphora was found about forty meters deep near Capoliveri: the owner of a diving center in the area gave the report.

At the moment the object is kept in the Porto Azzurro maritime office, pending technical evaluations by the Superintendence of Pisa and Livorno, which will provide a more precise classification and dating.
