February 10, 11 and 12 will come Secret Impressionists, produced by Ballandi Arts and Nexo Digital and directed by Daniele Pini. It will tell the story of the artistic revolution of the Impressionist movement through fifty hidden treasures, hitherto not visible to the public, displayed at the Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name.

It will continue on March 30 and 31 and April 1 with Maledetto Modigliani, produced by 3D Productions and Nexo Digital, directed by Valeria Parisi and written with Arianna Marelli on the occasion of the centenary of Amedeo Modigliani’s death.

Easter in Art will be in theaters April 14 and 15 to present an in-depth look at the iconography of Easter in the history of painting. Filmed in Jerusalem, the United States and Europe, Easter in Art explores the different ways in which artists have represented death and rebirth over the centuries.

Instead, April 27, 28 and 29 will see Botticelli and Florence. The Birth of Beauty, produced by Sky with Ballandi and Nexo Digital and directed by Marco Pianigiani, while in May, on May 25, 26 and 27, the journey into the Renaissance will continue with Raphael. Il Giovane Prodigio (The Young Prodigy), directed by Massimo Ferrari and produced by Sky on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the artist’s death; the docu-film will tell the story of the Urbino artist starting with his extraordinary female portraits.

Finally, on June 22, 23 and 24, the 2020 season of La Grande Arte al Cinema will conclude with Lucian Freud. Self-Portrait, which will trace the life and art of Lucian Freud through the exhibition featuring more than fifty paintings, prints and drawings of his self-portraits presented at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
