Filming is now underway in Verona for Non è la fine del mondo, the new film inspired by the novel of the same name published in 2016 by Alessia Gazzola, one of Italy’s best-loved and most followed writers, from whose novels successful TV series have already been made, such as L’Allieva, the Alice Allevi played by Alessandra Mastronardi, or the more recent Costanza played by Miriam Dalmazio.
Directed by Valentina Zanella and produced by Kplusfilm with the support of the Veneto Film Commission Foundation, Non è la fine del mondo will feature Roman actress Fotinì Peluso in the lead role of Emma De Tessent; the cast also includes Andrea Bosca (as Pietro Scalzi), Paolo Ruffini, Ivana Lotito, and Lorenzo Pozzan.
During a break from the set, Fotinì Peluso, Andrea Bosca and Valentina Zanella visited one of the symbolic places of Veronese art and culture: the House Museum of Palazzo Maffei, in the heart of Piazza delle Erbe, accompanied by Vanessa Carlon, director of the museum, and Alberto Perini of the Perini Antiquarian Bookshop, a reference point in the city for the print and antique book market. The actors and the director were able to immerse themselves among the halls of the Palace to learn about the important art collection that ranges from ancient to contemporary art, from rare artistic artifacts to precious applied art objects from the East and European countries.
“A special stop that combines the fascination of cinema with the historical and artistic richness of the territory,” as the post reads accompanied by some photos taken during the visit of the Maffei Palace itself.
