On Saturday, April 29, 2023, a reading-performance dedicated to the Supreme Poet will be held in Clusone (Bergamo) at 4 p.m., accompanying participants in the event titled Dante the Mountaineer to the Shrine of the Holy Trinity on Colle Crosio.

The climb to the mountain of Purgatory for the great poet is not only a spiritual experience but also a physical one, not without fatigue and fears. Through an anthology of excerpts from the second cantica of the Comedy, the initiative intends to revive Dante ’s “ascent” to the goal of Paradise on Earth.



The Santuario della Santissima Trinità can be reached exclusively on foot by walking along the path that starts in Viale Gusmini. Walking time about thirty minutes. It is recommended to bring a blanket to place on the ground.

Artistic direction is by Giuseppe Frangi and Casa Testori. Songs will be read by Alice Redini accompanied by Stefano Costantini’s classical trumpet.

Participation in the event organized by Promoserio, Municipality of Clusone, Comunità Montana Valle Seriana is free with no reservation required.

Along the path that leads from Piazza Manzù to the Sanctuary of Colle Crosio is available the new literary trail: 11 Signs of Culture curated by Iriam Bettera Design for eleven stages in which Dante’s phrases will accompany in an exciting journey, in a deep dialogue with the mountain.
