André Kertész's photographs are on display in Milan.

From January 16 to March 10, the exhibition André Kertész. The Awe of Reality will put on display 90 works by photographer André Kertész, known as the "master of masters," at the exhibition hall of the CMC - Cultural Center of Milan. The exhibition, curated by Roberto Mutti and conceived by Camillo Fornasieri, is organized by the Jeu de Paume in Paris, in collaboration with the Mediathèque de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, Ministère de la Culture - France, with diChroma photography and under the Patronage of the Lombardy Region and the Municipality of Milan.

This is an exhibition totally dedicated to André Kertész (Budapest, 1894 - New York, 1985): a photographer, an intellectual who traverses and embraces two worlds, the East and the West of the twentieth century, first at the end of political and cultural Central Europe, then in the West from the Cold War to the 1980s. A citizen inhabitant of the metropolises of the two worlds, from Budapest to Paris, from New York to the global world, he captures and recounts the promise and bewilderment, the embodiment of every living thing and person. His secret is awe, the familiarity of reality, without truncating its reference to a beyond, to a deeper reality.

On display is a Video with testimonies from some contemporary photographers.bFor all information you can call +39 02 86455162 or visit the official website of the Milan Cultural Center.
