From March 15 to June 9, 2024, the Museo Novecento in Florence will host the first stage of the exhibition La Stanza Vede. Drawings 1973-1990, curated by Dieter Schwarz with the artistic direction of Sergio Risaliti. More than one hundred drawings by Jannis Kounellis (Piraeus, 1936 - Rome, 2017) will be on display for the occasion.

The Florentine exhibition intends to follow in the footsteps of the large traveling exhibition of the same name that was presented in 1990 at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag and was curated by Rudi Fuchs, which included a selection of works on paper including chine, charcoal, pencil and gouache, made by the Greek artist between 1973 and 1990.

The exhibition is accompanied by the catalog of the QuaderniStein series /06/ Jannis Kounellis, The Room Sees. Drawings 1973-1990, edited by Dieter Schwarz, published by Electa.
