MUDEC virtually opens Elliott Erwitt.Family exhibition

From Saturday, April 25, for the last time, MUDEC virtually opens the doors of the exhibition Elliott Erwitt. Family

The major photography exhibition Elliott Erwitt. Family, on display at MUDEC in Milan since Oct. 16, 2019 and closed to the public due to the health emergency, opens its doors virtually for the last time.

From Saturday, April 25, for five weeks, curator Biba Giacchetti will narrate a significant work from the exhibition itinerary, allowing everyone to return to admire up close some of Elliott Erwitt’s most iconic shots. The project, realized with the support of Lavazza, will conclude with a concluding virtual tour of the exhibition.

For the exhibition, Erwitt himself, in collaboration with the curator, selected his shots that illustrate some of the facets of the concept of family. Instants from the lives of famous personalities and very private scenes; ironic images and social cutaways, nude weddings, extended or very unique families, metaphors and open endings.

Through his photographs, Elliott Erwitt recounts the great events that made history and the small moments of everyday life.
A universal theme interpreted by Erwitt with his unique style, powerful and light, romantic or gently ironic, a characteristic that has made the author one of the most beloved and followed photographers ever.
