The best of today's Italian figurative painting is on display in Trento, Italy

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trent and Rovereto presents the exhibition Ciò che vedo. New Figuration in Italy, curated by Alfredo Cramerotti and Margherita de Pilati.

Armed with a deep technical knowledge, many contemporary artists devote themselves to painting by representing the reality around them as faithfully as possible. Through a selection of fourteen authors, the Civic Gallery exhibition presents some of the most significant experiences of Italian figuration. In these paintings, people and objects of everyday life populate settings with suspended, fairy-tale, sensual atmospheres that surprise the visitor and invite the gaze to get lost in the texture of the details.

On display are works by Giulia Andreani, Elisa Anfuso, Annalisa Avancini, Romina Bassu, Thomas Braida, Manuele Cerutti, Vania Comoretti, Patrizio Di Massimo, Fulvio Di Piazza, Andrea Fontanari, Giulio Frigo, Oscar Giaconia, Iva Lulashi and Margherita Manzelli.
