Unpublished works from Reggio Emilia for a rediscovered twentieth century at the RezArte Gallery in Reggio Emilia

From Nov. 17, 2018 to Jan. 26, 2019, the RezArte Contemporanea Gallery in Reggio Emilia is hosting the exhibition A Rediscovered Twentieth Century. Unseen in the exhibition.

"Reggio Emilia. A Rediscovered Twentieth Century. Unpublished in exhibition": this is the title of the exhibition that will be on display from November 17, 2018 to January 26, 2019 at RezArte Contemporanea in Reggio Emilia.

After the success achieved in 2013 with the exhibition"Reggio Emilia. A Rediscovered Twentieth Century," curated by Alberto Agazzani, the gallery will present the public with a new in-depth look at theprotagonists of the Reggio Emilia art scene of the second Nocecento, exhibiting previously unseen works from private collections. It will therefore feature works by Giuliano Borghi, Vittorio Cavicchioni, Ottorino Davoli, Rina Ferri, Gino Forti, Gino Gandini, Walter Iotti, Nello Leonardi, Alberto Manfredi, Bruno Olivi, Vivaldo Poli, Norberto Riccò and Gianni Ruspaggiari.

The review aims to highlight the artistic journey of individual authors in the historical context of the area, who, as Agazzani stated in 2013, are destined to damnatio memoriae. The purpose therefore is “to reread, document and enhance a rich and exciting (half) century of paintings and painters.”
