For the first time, Villa Bardini's Belvedere Terrace will be a film arena

From July 8 to August 8, every evening at 9:15 p.m., Villa Bardini ’s Belvedere Terrace in Florence will be the stage for a film festival for the first time in its history. The scenic terrace will become an arena of one hundred numbered seats to accommodate spectators who will be able to see about thirty screenings under the stars. The initiative is promoted and organized by the Fondazione CR Firenze and the Fondazione Parchi Monumentali Bardini e Peyron, in collaboration with the Musart Cultural Association and under the patronage of the City of Florence. The films, selected by the Niels Stensen Cultural Foundation, are intended to offer a broad overview of the latest productions: Mondays will be dedicated to Woody Allen, in the year of the publication of his autobiography; Tuesdays will be devoted to art; Wednesdays will be films from literary texts according to a selection made in collaboration with the La Città dei Lettori festival (to be held at Villa Bardini from August 27 to 30), Thursday will be aimed at families (parents and children will get in for free),Friday will be dedicated to biographies, Saturday to past great successes, and Sunday will be proposed as a tribute to the female universe.
