The finalists will be convened on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27, 2026 for public hearings, which will be held in the Spadolini Room of the Ministry of Culture headquarters. Each applicant will have the opportunity to explain their project in detail and answer questions from the jurors. For each dossier, the hearings will last a maximum of 60 minutes, 30 of which will be for the presentation of the project and 30 for a question session by the Jury. Publicity for them, provided for in the announcement, will be ensured through live streaming on the Ministry of Culture’s YouTube channel.
The proclamation of the Italian Capital of Culture will be held by March 27, 2026. The winning city will be awarded a financial contribution of one million euros by the Ministry of Culture to implement the initiatives and objectives outlined in the application dossier.
