Pasolini paintings restored: will be born Pinacoteca in Casarsa della Delizia

Nineteen works by Pier Paolo Pasolini restored. A picture gallery will be created in the Casarsa della Delizia Study Center.

Nineteen works, including ink and technicamist drawings and tempera and oil paintings, by Pier Paolo Pasolini have been restored: a still little-known aspect and talent of the famous writer, poet and director. A passion born in college (he was a student of Roberto Longhi) and led him to try his hand at painting in his younger years and later in his later years of maturity. He also found inspiration in painting for the sets of his films.

The nineteen works will find a permanent home in the Centro Studi Pasolini in Casarsa della Delizia (Pordenone). A true picture gallery will be created, according to the Center’s intentions, where visitors will be able to admire, in addition to Pasolini’s works, a selection of paintings by Friulian artists with whom the latter formed friendly and collaborative relationships, such as Giuseppe Zigaina, Federico De Rocco, Virgilio Tramontin, Anzil and Renzo Tubaro.

Pasolini’s works include the two large cartoons painted on both sides depicting Youth with Musical Instruments, Panther and Two Youths.
