Harry Potter™: The Exhibition, the largest traveling exhibition dedicated to the magical world created by J.K. Rowling, is coming to Milan. It will open to the public on September 19, 2025 at The Mall, bringing to the city an immersive and interactive experience that has already attracted more than 3.3 million visitors worldwide.
The exhibition features an extensive collection of original props, costumes worn by actors in the films, and scenic reconstructions of the most famous locations to offer an immersive exploration of the fictional universe of Harry Potter and Fantastic Animals™. Through a journey designed with advanced technology and immersive design, the saga’s most significant moments, best-known characters, most beloved settings and legendary creatures are celebrated, including content from the Tony® award-winning stage production Harry Potter and the Heir’s Curse.
Since its world premiere held in Philadelphia in February 2022, the exhibition has touched numerous international cities, including Boston, Madrid, and São Paulo, reaching more than 3.5 million visitors.
The exhibit allows visitors to participate in a variety of interactive activities: potion making, spell casting, Quidditch™ skill tests and more. Settings inspired by Hagrid’s Hut, the Herbology Greenhouse, as well as the Forbidden Forest, where you can encounter dragons, Mollycoddles and other fantastical creatures, are recreated. Through a personalized digital wristband, each participant can collect Golden Snitch medallions, interact with the environment and accumulate points for one of the Hogwarts houses.
The exhibit offers a multi-sensory experience through the integration of visual, aural, tactile and olfactory elements with engaging content and hands-on activities, providing a complete immersion into the wizarding world.
The From Book to Screen Room features a first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, housed in a Gringott-inspired safe, surrounded by literary quotes and videos, and introduces the saga’s fictional universe.
The Hogwarts Castle Hall features an immersive multimedia experience with elements such as the Platanus Spike, Dementors, and the Marauder’s Map, which interacts with visitors by displaying their names.
The Great Hall Hall is a space that allows visitors to celebrate magical seasonal moments in a faithful reconstruction of the architecture of the famous hall.
The Hall of Hogwarts Houses allows visitors to experience personalized moments related to the house chosen during preregistration, with the Talking Hat and stained glass windows decorated with the crests of the four houses.
The Hogwarts Classrooms are interactive environments with props, creatures and costumes, where you can try your hand I at magical lessons and games through digital touchscreens. Visitors can brew potions in the Potions Room, predict the future in Divination, repot a mandrake in the Herbology Greenhouse and use their digital wand to defeat a Mollycod in Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Hagrid’s Hut and the Forbidden Forest will allow people to experience the Patronus Enchantment and explore environments populated by creatures such as centaurs and Acromantulas.
Finally, there will be an official shop where exclusive products related to the exhibition can be purchased, including clothing, jewelry, sweets such as Chocolates and Burrobirra, as well as gadgets not available in any other wizarding world experience.
