Women's Photography Biennial is born: kicks off in Mantua in March 2020

A new initiative will kick off in Mantua in March 2020. It is the Biennial of Women’s Photography, whose first edition will start on March 5 and will take place every weekend of the month until March 29. Conceived by theAssociazione la Papessa and under the artistic direction of Alessia Locatelli, the event will include exhibitions of great Italian and international female photographers, talks, portfolio readings, workshops and artistic residencies.

The theme of the first edition is work, and there will be creative workshops, talks, presentations by the authors and exhibitions, with the participation of prominent figures not only in the field of photography. There will also be portfolio readings, interviews, and an Open Call open to all nationalities on the theme chosen for the event, a unique opportunity to exhibit their shots in the public places of Mantua.
