The Sale Palatine of the Galleria Sabauda in Turin will host a retrospective entirely dedicated to Antoon van Dyck (Antwerp, 1599 - London, 1641) from November 16, 2018 to March 3, 2019.

More than fifty works divided into four sections aimed at giving the public an understanding of the artist’s connection with the Italian and European courts for which he produced magnificent works of art, including countless portraits.
Masterpieces beloved by the ruling classes for their formal elaboration, chromatic quality and attention to detail and elegance.

"Van Dyck. Court Painter," this is the title of the exhibition, is curated by Annamaria Bava and Maria Grazia Bernardini and a scientific committee composed of some of the most renowned Van Dyck scholars, such as Susan J. Barnes, Piero Boccardo and Christopher Brown.

It is organized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Royal Museums of Turin and Gruppo Arthemisia, under the patronage of the Piedmont Region and the City of Turin.

Hours: Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Closed Mondays.
