"Hip Hop. From the Street to the Museum," this is the title of the retrospective that will be held from September 1 to October 14, 2018 at ONO arte contemporanea in Bologna.

Thirty photographs by Michael Lavine, a renowned American photographer who witnessed the Grunge and Hip Hop music scene, will be on display, aiming to analyze the phenomenon of popular culture that has most influenced the languages of all contemporary arts.

With this review, Michael Lavine, an American photographer who over the years has taken numerous photo-portraits related to the world of Hip Hop, wants to walk through the evolution of the Hip Hop genre from its origins. His are the shots of some album covers for artists such as Notorious B.I.G, Puffy, Lil’ Kim, Jay Z and Wu-Tang Clan.
