The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Giza has inaugurated its new library, designed as a center for knowledge, scientific research, and cultural exchange. The project was carried out with the support of the French government and in collaboration with key French partners. The opening ceremony was attended by Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, French Ambassador to Egypt Eric Chevallier, and the CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, Ahmed Ghoneim, underscoring the collaboration between Egypt and France in the fields of culture and knowledge.
The library houses approximately 17,000 books intended for researchers, academics, students, and specialists in the cultural sector. The space will also host conferences, presentations, book signings, seminars, and other educational and cultural activities.
