A 20-year-old tourist peeled off some mosaic tiles from the floor of the Domus dell'Ancora in Pompeii Archaeological Park. Reported for damage.

She detached some mosaic tiles that were part of the floor of the Domus dell’Ancora in Pompeii Archaeological Park: a souvenir to take home as a memento of her visit.

The act was carried out by a 20-year-old tourist who, according to the reconstruction of the custodians, climbed over the protective curb, detached the tiles, and then put them in her backpack.
The custodians immediately alerted the Carabinieri, who arrived on the scene and stopped the girl: she was reported for aggravated damage.

Today, restorers from the Archaeological Park will begin reassembling the mosaic.
