Uffizi ticket increases: getting in during high season will cost 25 euros

To cope with rising energy and building costs, the Uffizi is increasing the cost of tickets in the high season: entering the Florentine museum will cost 25 euros instead of 20. However, a discount is introduced for those who enter the museum before 9 a.m.

Increases are in sight for entering the Uffizi. In fact, the Board of Directors of the Uffizi Galleries has unanimously decided to raise the price of individual single admission to the Gallery of Statues and Paintings to cope withrising costs in the energy and construction sectors. From March 1, therefore, the cost of the ticket in high season will be 25 euros instead of the current 20. The increase will concern the single-entry ticket for the Statues and Paintings Gallery only and exclusively in high season (that is, from March 1 to November 30): this is, the museum explains, a ticket that is mostly purchased by foreign tourists. The new rate has already been approved by the Tuscany Regional Museums Directorate and the General Directorate of Museums of the Ministry of Culture.

At the same time, however, a morning discount is introduced in the high season, which has already been successfully tested at Palazzo Pitti: those who enter the museum between 8:15 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. will pay 19 euros, thus saving six euros.

On the other hand, admission prices and all the low season discounting, as well as the Passepartout 5 Days, Passepartout Annual and Passepartout Family passes, remain unchanged.
