ArtePadova reaches its 29th edition, here are the new features for 2018. Nov. 16-19

From November 16-19, 2018, the 29th edition of ArtePadova arrives. Here are what's new this year.

ArtePadova, the contemporary art market exhibition that enlivens the Veneto autumn every year, reaches this year’s edition number 29: from November 16 to 19, 2018, Padua Fiere ’s pavilions 1, 7 and 8 will host a record number of 300 exhibitors (including some of the most important galleries in Italy and beyond: at this link the complete catalog of exhibitors) who will bring 15,000 works on an exhibition area of 28,000 square meters. In 2017 the exhibition was attended by more than 26,000 visitors, and similar numbers are expected for 2018.

Among the works, as usual an important space will be reserved fortwentieth-century art: from futurism to pop art, from arte povera to informal art, the halls of the fair will feature works by great interpreters of the last century such as Lucio Fontana, Mimmo Rotella, Mario Sironi, Achille Perilli, Carla Accardi, and Afro, and there will be no shortage of international artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Nobuyoshi Araki.

The C.A.T.S. Contemporary Art Talent Show section, reserved for galleries, associations, collectives and independent artists who bring works under five thousand euros to the fair, is enriched this year with a dedicated prize (the C.A.T. Prize) and a brand new section with works that are truly for everyone, those under 500 euros, which also have a special complete catalog on the ArtePadova website. Under 500 (this is the name of the new space) is a place, the presentation says, “designed to offer a showcase and a stage to those who are talented and are taking their very first steps in the art world: at ArtePadova they will be able to find an opportunity to make their works known (at an affordable price) to a wide audience.... an opportunity not to be missed even for those who have never invested in a work of art and want to make a first experiment without having to shell out big bucks.”

Also confirmed are the novelties of last season such as the Mediolanum Prize and the Show and Tell - Think Create Show contest, dedicated to artists, creatives and curators under 30, who will compete for a free exhibition space at the fair to present their project. Plus a full calendar of side events, lectures and live performances.

The event is November 16-18, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., November 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets: inero 10 euros, reduced 4 euros for groups (minimum 10 people), Forces of Law and Order, people over 65, to students (those interested should present themselves at the ticket office with a document to ascertain that they belong to one of the categories of users identified above and a personal identification document), the disabled (the accompanying person is entitled to free admission), children from 11 to 17 years old.
