From September 20 to 22, 2025, the halls of the Aurum in Pescara will host Cookie Canvas - Royal Icing Cookie Exhibition, the first exhibition-event in Italy entirely dedicated to the technique of decorating cookies with royal icing.
Promoted by the DolceFlo Cookie Planet association, the initiative aims to highlight a technique of artistic pastry making that combines manual skill, precision and creativity, transforming a simple shortbread cookie into a small work of art. Indeed, royal icing, with its delicate consistency and the possibility of being molded into infinite details, makes it possible to create amazing decorations.
The exhibition will feature creations inspired by famous artists such as Klimt, Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo, offering a journey through shapes and colors that places art and pastry in dialogue.
"This exhibition represents a dream come true, because royal icing cookies have a special feature that makes them unique: the precision, delicacy and artistic quality they require turn them into something very different from a simple dessert. With Cookie Canvas we want to show how this art can speak a universal language, able to excite and unite different cultures," said Filomena Tavano, president of the association.
Also participating in the event will be the Peruvian association Apepaf - Asociación Peruana de Pastelería y Afines. For three days, the Aurum will not only be transformed into a place of celebration and creativity, where the public can discover a technique that requires imagination and precision.
