Nielsen for Sound of Metal (which also won best sound, the prerogative of Nicolas Becker, Jaime Baksht, Michelle Couttolenc, Carlos Cortés and Phillip Bladh), best set design goes to Donald Graham Burt and Jan Pascale for Mank, the film Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom wins best costumes(Ann Roth) and best makeup and hairstyling(Sergio Lopez-Rivera, Mia Neal and Jamika Wilson), best special effects are for Andrew Jackson, David Lee, Andrew Lockley and Scott Fisher for the film Tenet.

Finally, the music awards: best score goes to Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Jon Batiste for Soul and best original song is Fight for you (music by H.E.R. and Dernst Emile II, lyrics by H.E.R. and Tiara Thomas) from the film Judas and the Black Messiah. Nothing to do for the three Italian nominees: Laura Pausini and Niccolò Agliardi (along with U.S. Diane Warren) who were competing for best song with Io sì (seen) for La vita davanti a sè, Massimo Cantini Parrini competing for best costumes with Pinocchio, and Dalia Colli and Francesco Pegoretti (along with Britain’s Mark Coulier) competing for best makeup and hairstyling with Pinocchio.
