On the occasion of National Landscape Day, the Upper Botanical Garden of the Medici Park in Boboli will open to the public extraordinarily.

OnThursday, March 14, 2019, on the occasion of National Landscape Day, the Giardino della Botanica Superiore in the Medici Park of Boboli in Florence will be open extraordinarily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two guided tours, lasting about 45 minutes, led by area curator Paolo Basetti, are also scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The Giardino della Botanica Superiore was built in 1766 to a design by Niccolò Gaspero Paoletti and Giuseppe Ruggeri: a place that houses a very rich variety of plants, including many rare exotic and aquatic plants of great botanical interest.

An opportunity to visit this space, which, as a matter of routine, is not open to the public.
