A momentous exhibition on the Lombards: first stop in Pavia

A major exhibition dedicated to the Lombards is underway at the Visconti Castle in Pavia. Next stops are Naples and St. Petersburg.

A major exhibition, or rather, the most important exhibition ever held on the Lombards is hosted from September 1 to December 3, 2017 at the Visconti Castle in Pavia.
Pavia itself was the capital of the Lombard Kingdom, a people who faced economic and social challenges, wars and clashes, alliances and cultural contamination.

The exhibition is the result of more than 15 years of new archaeological, epigraphic and historical-political investigations, scientific studies and contextual analysis.
More than 300 works from more than 80 museums and lending institutions are on display to tell the story of the Lombards in an exhibition with almost completely unpublished materials, original videos and multimedia installations.

"Lombards.A people who change history" is curated by Gian Pietro Brogiolo and Federico Marazzi and organized by Villaggio Globale International.
