An exhibition brings together in Bologna the most iconic works of Banksy, Jago and TvBoy

From Nov. 11, 2022 to May 7, 2023, Palazzo Albergati in Bologna hosts the exhibition Jago, Banksy, TvBoy and Other Countercultural Stories: a sort of triple monograph showcasing sixty of the most significant works by each of them: from Banksy’s Girl with Baloon to Bomb Love; Jago’s Circulatory Apparatus and Memory of Self; TvBoy’s Kisses and Heroes series, as well as iconic pieces by the artist such as the “modernized” couple that gave rise to the huge work that welcomes the airport of Rome Fiumicino or the Gino Strada with the “stop war” sign that appeared one night a few months ago on the walls of Milan.

These three nuclei are then joined by many works by various generations of artists who have taken inspiration and inspiration from them, or who fit into the “countercurrent” path that characterizes them: from Obey, on display with the famous Hope poster made in 2008 in support of Barak Obama’s presidential campaign, to Mr. Brainwash, from Ravo and The Girl with the Pearl Earring to Laika and her Not this “game” to Pau with his Santa Suerte series.

A dialogue divided into four sections that invites the public to grasp the correspondences existing between different orientations in the elaboration of trends related to European art and street art.

The exhibition, under the patronage of the Municipality of Bologna, is produced and organized by Arthemisia with the collaboration of Piuma, Pop House Gallery and Apapaia. The catalog is published by Skira.
