Unipol confirms its commitment to promoting contemporary art with a double initiative dedicated to Anselm Kiefer. The company is the main sponsor of the exhibition Anselm Kiefer. Le Alchimiste, scheduled to be held at the Palazzo Reale in Milan from Feb. 7 to Sept. 27, 2026, while simultaneously hosting a work by the artist at Unipol Tower, in Piazza Gae Aulenti, from Feb. 9 to June 30 of the same year.
The canvas on display at Unipol Tower depicts Caterina Sforza, one of the historical figures reinterpreted by Kiefer in the exhibition. The protagonist, a famous alchemist of the Italian Renaissance, is reimagined through the artist’s poetics, based on matter, memory and symbolism. The work offers visitors the opportunity to engage directly with Kiefer’s artistic language, between use of lead, earth, straw and oxidized metals, and reflection on history, myth and the human condition. Considered one of the leading interpreters of contemporary art, Kiefer has built his own path around the themes of transformation and memory, questioning the relationship between past and present. The exhibition at Palazzo Reale brings together his reflections on female alchemist figures and the meaning of knowledge, in a dialogue between historical reality and symbolic dimension.
Admission to the work in Unipol Tower is free, with reservations required through the dedicated portal: https: //www.cubounipol.it/it/servizi/visita-guidata-milano.
"Supporting Le Alchimiste, this great work by Anselm Kiefer, means participating in a profound dialogue between art, memory and transformation. A prestigious partnership that confirms our Group’s ongoing commitment to support and help bring memorable artistic experiences to the general public," says Gianmaria Restelli, Head of External Communication and Corporate Image at Unipol Group.
