Embodied thought, 19 artists for Poggiali Gallery's online project

Poggiali Gallery kicks off online project Embodied thought in which nineteen contemporary artists are participating. Through May 9.

From April 4 to May 9, 2020, Poggiali Gallery presents an online project involving nineteen contemporary artists to shape the suspended reality of current human experience.

Embodied thought, this is the title of the project, involves the presentation of one image per day on the gallery’s website and social Instagram channel. The initiative is inspired by the thought of French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty, according to whom the role of perception was fundamental in the construction of language, science and the arts. In this direction, Embodied thought intends to offer a reading of the “new present” and the significant value that perceptions assume today in a condition of isolation.

A journey through the images of the works of artists with whom, over the years, the Poggiali Gallery has related to.

The artists participating in the online project are Manfredi Beninati, Slater Bradley, Enzo Cucchi, Zhivago Duncan, Marco Fantini, Giovanni Frangi, Luigi Ghirri, Goldschmied & Chiari, J&Peg, John Isaacs, Thomas Kovachevich, Eliseo Mattiacci, Youssef Nabil, Luca Pignatelli, Claudio Parmiggiani, Roberto Barni, Grazia Toderi, Fabio Viale, Gilberto Zorio.
