In Treviso, at the Museo di Santa Caterina, the exhibition 'Rodin. A Great Sculptor at the Time of Monet'.

Treviso’s St. Catherine Museum will host the exhibition "Rodin. A Great Sculptor at the Time of Monet," which will run from Feb. 24 to June 3.This exhibition will inaugurate the fully restored spaces of the underground hall, named after Giovanni Barbisan, and will welcome 50 cultures and 25 works on paper by Auguste Rodin: from the Kiss to the Thinker, the Monument to Balzac, theMan with a Broken Nose, and theAge of Bronze, up to the maquettes, often however of vast format, of monumental works that are obviously untransportable or never completed, the Bourgeois of Calais and the Gates of Hell, among many others.

"I have long wanted to propose to the Italian public an exhibition dedicated to Rodin, his life and work, also because of his so strong interest in the culture of our country. I am really happy that this can take place in my city, Treviso, triggering that race of unparalleled beauty with Arturo Martini. And happy that the Musée Rodin has acceded to my request with enthusiasm, even more motivated by the fact that Treviso is precisely Martini’s city. I believe it will not be useless, next spring, to come to Treviso to meet the sum work of two giants of sculpture between the 19th and 20th centuries," commented Marco Goldin, curator of the exhibition.

The exhibition is sponsored by the City of Treviso and Linea d’ombra, which is also the producer and organizer, in collaboration with the musée Rodin in Paris.
