Rome: at the House of Cinema, an exhibition celebrates Vivien Leigh and Gone with the Wind


From Dec. 10, 2018 to Jan. 10, 2019 in Rome, the exhibition ' Waiting for Gone with the Wind... Vivien Leigh' celebrates the well-known actress. At the Casa del Cinema.

There is time until Jan. 10 to visit the exhibition Waiting for Gone with the Wind... Vivien Leigh, set up at the Casa del Cinema in Rome on behalf of theTeatroantico Association. Curated by Giulio D’Ascenzo and Elisabetta Centore, the exhibition traces the actress’s theatrical and cinematic career, focusing in particular on her most famous film, Gone with the Wind, which just this year turns 80 years old.

Among the films the exhibition will trace are The Great Admiral (1941), Caesar and Cleopatra (1945) and Anna Karenina (1948). Space will also be made for A Streetcar Named Desire, in which Vivien Leigh took part in both Tennessee Williams ’ original play and the film adaptation in which she shared the set with Marlon Brando.

All this with an exhibition of shots, playbills and magazines. The exhibition is open daily from 3 to 7 p.m. while on Saturday and Sunday it is also open in the morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
