Tiepolo's Final Judgment at the center of an exhibition at the Hermitage

Until July 16, 2017, Giambattista Tiepolo's Final Judgment is the focus of an exhibition at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.

As part of the"The Illustrious Guest" exhibition with which Intesa Sanpaolo intends to enhance its art collection, the Last Judgment by Giambattista Tiepolo, which belongs to Intesa Sanpaolo’s collection and is housed at the Gallerie d’italia in Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza, will be on display at theHermitage in St. Petersburg until July 16, 2017.

The work will be the focus of an exhibition in the Russian museum thanks to the collaboration of Conoscere Eurasia, a nonprofit organization for the promotion of economic and cultural relations between Italy and Russia.

Michele Coppola, Head of Cultural Activities at Intesa Sanpaolo, said, “The loan of one of the most important works from the Bank’s collection to the Hermitage, an ”illustrious guest“ in St. Petersburg, is a further significant moment of accreditation of the Gallerie d’Italia with the most famous and qualified international museums and realities, together with the exchange of the two Caravaggios with the Metropolitan in New York. For Intesa Sanpaolo, it is a source of pride to share projects that bring Italian art abroad, thus contributing to spreading even more knowledge of our great masters.”
