Wim Wenders has made a 3D short film dedicated to Hopper. Trailer.

For the major exhibition at Fondation Beyeler dedicated to Edward Hopper, Wim Wenders has made a 3D short film. Here is the trailer.

On the occasion of the major exhibition dedicated to Edward Hopper (Nyack, 1882 - Manhattan, 1967) held at the Fondation Bayeler in Basel and now closed to the public due to the Covid-19 health emergency, renowned filmmaker and photographer Wim Wenders has created the 3D short film, titled Two or Three Things I Know about Edward Hopper, dedicated precisely to one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.

The film is inspired by Hopper’s American Spirit: in fact, Wim Wenders traveled America to gather his impressions, then created the spectacular 3D production.

Some of the artist’s most famous works, such as Morning Sun (1952) and Gas (1940), are well recognized, but the film drops the viewer right into the American landscape.

The short film was made possible thanks to the support of BNP Paribas Swiss Foundation and LUMA Foundation.
