Two selections are open for two museum director positions to fill prestigious roles in Venice and Asti: both selections are managed by the recruiting firm Praxi, the first on behalf of the Civic Museums of Venice and the second for the newly established Fondazione Asti Musei.
In Venice, in particular, they are looking for the director of the M9 - Museo del Novecento museum whose opening is scheduled for December 2018. The newly appointed director will have to plan, direct and coordinate the museum’s activities, take care of its cultural project, ensure high quality standards in management and communication, direct the staff and propose outreach, education, training and research initiatives. A bachelor’s degree and professional experience in museum management of at least three years, or a particular professional, cultural and scientific specialization demonstrable by concrete work experience, or significant experience in curatorial, publishing, television, music or in the organization of cultural events is required. In Asti, the director of the Asti Musei Foundation will manage cultural and scientific activities as well as the organization of exhibitions and expositions, take care of the organizational, administrative and financial management of the Foundation, be responsible for prepare the budget and final budget, coordinate stakeholder relations, direct staff, define ticketing policies, develop communication and fundraising plans, and identify additional service providers.
