Cover...artistic for Colapesce and Dimartino: a painting from Turin's Museum of the Risorgimento

The special limited edition 45 rpm of Musica leggerissima by Colapesce and Dimartino will have an...artistic cover: paintings from the collections of the Museo del Risorgimento in Turin.

Musica leggerissima by Colapesce and Dimartino has become a real hit of the moment ever since the singing couple brought the song to the Sanremo stage: it has been awarded a fourth platinum record these days.

What’s new is that the special limited-edition 45 will have an...artistic cover: in fact, it will consist of two paintings that are part of the collections of the Museo del Risorgimento in Turin.

"Visiting the National Museum of the Risorgimento in Turin you can admire in its entirety Passaggio del Gran San Bernardo, the detail of which is contained in theartwork of Musica leggerissima’s 45 rpm. Thank you National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento": with these words the two singers revealed on their Instagram profiles what will be depicted on the cover of the limited edition 45 rpm.

It is a detail of a tempera painting on paper from the school of Vedutist painter Giuseppe Pietro Bagetti (Turin, 1764 - 1831), Passaggio del Gran San Bernardo, made in the first quarter of the 19th century. On the B side, however, is Napoleon Leading the Attack on the Arcole Bridge (Nov. 15, 1796), by the Bagetti school.

The double cover was made by Fontanesi.

The Museo del Risorgimento, which houses the work, is also enthusiastic: "Did you know that the cover of the special edition of Musica leggerissima by Colapesce and Dimartino takes up a painting on display in our museum? Thanks to Colapesce, Dimartino and Fontanesi for being inspired by our museum!" he wrote in a post on his Facebook page.
