Finestre Sull'Arte wins the 2015 Silvia Dell'Orso Award: we are the best outreach project in Italy!

Finestre Sull'Arte wins the 2015 Silvia Dell'Orso Prize, an award reserved for the best art-historical popularization project in Italy

We are very happy to announce that Finestre sull’Arte is the winner of this year’s edition of the prestigious Silvia Dell’Orso Prize, which each year rewards the “best work in popularizing issues related to cultural heritage.” The jury, this year made up of Annalisa Cicerchia, Pietro Clemente, Marisa Dalai Emiliani, Francesco Erbani, Mario Turci and Paolo Cavaglione wanted to award us this prize, which recalls the important figure of Silvia Dell’Orso, an art historian (she was responsible for important studies on the frescoes of the Last Judgment in Loreto Aprutino, Abruzzo) and cultural journalist (she wrote for Repubblica, Il Sole 24 Ore and several other newspapers) who died prematurely in 2009.

The Prize, banned by the Silvia Dell’Orso Association whose honorary president is Salvatore Settis and which boasts important partnerships (Fondazione Cariplo, Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Lombardy Region, City of Milan, FAI, Tucano Tech&Style and others), is now in its sixth edition this year, and we are really pleased to now engrave our name in theroll of honor!

So mark your appointment with the awards ceremony, which will be held on Thursday, December 10, in Milan at the Museo Diocesano (Corso di Porta Ticinese 95). We will both be there to collect the award and of course to meet live all our fans who would like to meet us in person. A special thanks to all those who read us, follow us, discuss with us, get passionate about art with us: without you our project would not exist, really. So we look forward to seeing you in Milan and ... we are really happy! Yours Ilaria and Federico
