Another woman at the helm of the Musée Picasso: Sabine Longin is the new director

Two women at the helm of the Musée Picasso in Paris: following this fall’s appointment of Cécile Debray as president of the museum, Sabine Longin has now been appointed director general, taking over from Louis Jacquart as of March 1.

From March 2016 to September 2021 Sabine Longin co-directed the Giacometti Foundation in Paris with Catherine Grenier and is currently Counselor for Cultural Cooperation and Action at the French Embassy in Doha. In 2014, as Cultural Attaché at the French Embassy in Qatar, he worked on the signing of an intergovernmental cooperation agreement in the cultural sphere. He began his career at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon and worked at a communications agency specializing in the cultural sector and institutional communication.

Former director Louis Jacquart was appointed CEO in April 2020, and the institution did not specify the reason for the change.
