More young people at the top of MiBACT: after Gabriel Zuchtriegel appointed director of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, now it is the turn of Marta Donzelli, a film producer, who becomes the new president of the Experimental Center of Cinematography. This was announced by Minister Dario Franceschini, who initiated the procedures for appointing the president and the Cda of the CSC Foundation. The other members of the BoD nominated by the minister are actress Cristiana Capotondi, lawyer Guendalina Ponti and journalist Andrea Purgatori. Marta Donzelli, a film producer born in 1975, was born in Turin, and lives and works in Rome. After graduating in Philosophy, she earned a doctorate with a thesis on Edmund Husserl. In 2004, together with Gregorio Paonessa, she founded Vivo film, an independent production company with a catalog of films selected and awarded by the most prestigious international festivals. She was for many years head of the editorial secretariat of Donzelli editore, “Teacher” of the Cinema College of the Holden School of Turin for the biennium 2017/2019 and, among others, member of the jury of the festivals of Turin, Rotterdam and Karlovy Vary. She is currently part of the Anica steering committee. In December 2020, she was elected to the Board of EFA, the European Film Academy.
