The overall winning shot of the Siena International Photo Awards 2022 is entitled Woman from Evia and was taken by Greek photographer Konstantinos Tsakalidis: the shot illustrates the despair of an 81-year-old Greek woman at the moment when flames are about to approach her home on the island of Evia. Greece was indeed hit in the summer of 2021 by severe forest fires that caused environmental damage and harm to the population.
