Famous mural in Civitacampomarano, Molise risks destruction

The most famous work of street art in Civitacampomarano, a small town in Molise where the Cvtà Street Fest has been held every year since 2016, is in danger of being destroyed: it is the young woman covering her face with her hands, a work created by the well-known artist Alice Pasquini, aka Alicè, whose female-themed creations can be found all over the world. The mayor, rejecting the accusations, defended himself by saying that it was “not news” and adding that a year ago, when the renovation of the building was announced, he had said that he would consider whether it would be possible to preserve the mural, but according to the technical plan the preservation of the work would not be possible. He had also said that he would be willing to contribute to the creation of another work or to its redoing: this was to convey that there is no conflict with the association organizing the festival.

It is therefore awaited to see how the issue will be resolved.
