Italian films, including co-productions, generated more than 160 million euros at the box office, with more than 22.5 million admissions and a share of total admissions of about 33. This is a higher result than both in 2024, when the share stood at 25.7 percent, and the average for the three-year period 2017-2019, which was stationary at 21 percent. In the Top3 of Italian-produced films were Buen Camino (over 36 million euros in box office), Follemente (17.9 million) and Diamanti (9.8 million). A decisive factor was the excellent theatrical debut of Buen Camino, the new film starring Checco Zalone, which helped further increase the share of Italian cinema, already 29 percent of total admissions since the beginning of the year.
The role of the summer months was then confirmed again in 2025, along with the traditional Christmas period.
