Arte Sella will feature a new work by Arcangelo Sassolino and open up to technology

Arte Sella is enriched with a new work: Physis by Arcangelo Sassolino. An installation in which technology, art and nature converge.

A new work will become part of Arte Sella - the Contemporary Mountain, the artistic journey in the nature of Val di Sella in Trentino: it is Physis by Vicenza artist Arcangelo Sassolino (Vicenza, 1967) and will be unveiled on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Malga Costa at 4 p.m. in the presence of the artist. The opening will be preceded at 3 p.m. by a meeting between Arcangelo Sassolino and Guido Beltramini, director of the Andrea Palladio International Center for Architectural Studies.

Arcangelo Sassolino’s work will thus be added to Arte Sella’s collection of hundreds of international artists who have come and gone over time, invited to interpret the spirit of the place and return, through an original and inspired gaze, works of art in continuous transformation. With the invitation to Arcangelo Sassolino, Arte Sella officially launches, after thirty-six years of uninterrupted investigation, a new phase of the project, to propose a gaze in which art and nature are fully open to dialogue with technology.

The work, conceived by Sassolino for Arte Sella, is in fact an installation in which technology, art and nature converge. Surrounded by nature, Physis stands in a secluded area of the Malga Costa exhibition route.

Over time, at Arte Sella, all artistic languages have interpenetrated with art in nature; music, dance, photography, poetry, literature have found in Arte Sella a peculiar place of research and common reflection. Their vision, together with that of the artists who will cross Arte Sella with an increasingly interdisciplinary gaze open to contaminations, will continue to investigate the complexity of contemporaneity.
