Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and Unicoop Firenze present on Thursday, June 12, starting at 6 p.m., the Palazzo Strozzi Neon Night, a special event aimed at the under-30 audience to invite young people to contemporary art in an informal atmosphere of sharing and meeting. On this occasion, all under-30s will have access to the exhibition Tracey Emin. Sex and Solitude at the special price of 5 euros. Young educators will be present inside the exhibition rooms to offer insights, insights and dialogues about the works on display and a youthful point of view on the works.
The title of the initiative, Neon Night, recalls Tracey Emin’s famous neon works featured in the exhibition. In the courtyard of the Palace, in fact, the evening will be accompanied by a Brit pop-themed DJ set, a tribute to Tracey Emin’s cultural roots and the creative climate of Cool Britannia, which marked a season of artistic, musical and identity ferment in the 1990s. The musical selection will take the audience on an immersive journey into the atmospheres of that era, evoking the cultural context in which Emin’s imagery was formed.
Event participants who register through the Unicoop Firenze portal will be able to access the exhibition at the special price of 5 euros and will receive a complimentary drink to consume at Strozzi Bistrò. Young Friends of Palazzo Strozzi card holders, on the other hand, will be able to visit the exhibition for free with a complimentary drink. Those who do not register on the Unicoop Firenze portal can still participate in the Strozzi Night Promo, which includes admission to the exhibition and a drink at the special price of 10 euros.
The initiative is part of the collaboration between Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and Unicoop Firenze, which was created with the aim of bringing new generations closer to contemporary art through innovative formats that combine culture, active participation and sociability. In fact, the Palazzo Strozzi Neon Night represents the fifth special evening jointly promoted, continuing a path that, thanks to the success of previous editions, has involved hundreds of young visitors and contributed to making Palazzo Strozzi an increasingly open and inclusive space for the under-30 audience.
