Registration open for new edition of Venice Photo

From April 25 to May 4, 2019, Servolo Island will host the second edition of the Venezia Photo festival. Registration open.

TheIsland of San Servolo in Venice will host the second edition of Venezia Photo, the international festival entirely dedicated to photography, from April 25 to May 4, 2019.

On this occasion, the most important contemporary photographers, including Paolo Roversi, Erwin Olaf, Ann Ray, Oliviero Toscani, Albert Watson, Massimo Siragusa, Settimio Benedusi, Stephanie Renoma, and Jean-Christophe Béchet, will come to Venice and hold exclusive workshops and meetings.

More than twenty workshops lasting four days each will be open to everyone, amateurs, professionals or beginners: participants will be able to engage with internationally renowned master photographers, with whom they can learn the secrets of technique and, above all, find their own vision. A series of meetings and discussions will also be organized to enrich one’s experience while on the Island, which will also include guided tours and photographic routes in the city of Venice.

Registration is now open for the new edition full of educational opportunities organized thanks to the collaboration between San Servolo Srl, Les Rencontres d’Arles, one of the most important festivals in Europe dedicated to photography, and ADAP the French operating structure supporting the festival.

Andrea Berro, Sole Director of San Servolo srl, said, “Once again the Island of San Servolo, just a few minutes from St. Mark’s Square, becomes a ”space of life,“ the ideal place for the VENICE PHOTO format, offering an exclusive and extraordinary location in which to experience an out-of-the-ordinary photographic adventure, with a stay punctuated by moments of learning, sharing and conviviality among professionals and enthusiasts. An event of great artistic depth that enriches the already rich offer that the island of the Metropolitan City of Venice proposes with its services where culture plays a dominant role.”

The curator of the event, Alexander De Metz, representative of YellowKorner, added, “We strongly believe in VENICE PHOTO. Europe has been missing a top-level event that could bring together the world’s greatest photographers in a wonderful place and have them work with photography enthusiasts: we have created with San Servolo srl an international photography campus.”
